Dearest Winnie,
All you wanted, for your fiftieth,
Was a card, with a handwritten note;
Since its a milestone, to celebrate your fifty years,
I chose to write, my wishes for you in a poem!
We have supported each other,
For over a decade, through many a thick and thin;
Common trials, bound us together,
Leaning on each other, through losses and wins!
Over these years, I have known you to be,
A truly, kind hearted soul;
Protective claws, for all to see,
When the world, made your loved ones howl!
You are generous and warm,
And oh! so fiercely loyal;
Ready aid, through our storms,
Helping friends, through many a turmoil!
I have seen you, pull yourself together,
Rising up stronger, through each struggle;
Putting your son first, an excellent mother,
A million other things, with ease you juggle!
I would like to convey my wishes,
For your fiftieth and many more;
May your life be blessed with love and happiness,
May prosperity always be, within your doors!
I am so glad, that our paths crossed,
And we chose, to remain good friends;
For Winnie, people like you are a rare lot,
So very very hard to find!
