Poem # 233 You are my Yellow…

[Written for Hitha V Amin]
When my days take a turn, to the color blue,
And nights take on, a dark shadowy hue,
When I want to forget it all, and feel mellow,
You are my shining star, You are my Yellow…

When life throws, it’s freaky curve balls,
When I am at my lowest, facing my downfall,
When I am lost, with no map to follow,
You lead my way, You are my Yellow…

When I need a ray of light, to carry me on,
When I wake up, feeling numb to my bones,
When I have no hope, and in grief I wallow,
You lift me up, You are my Yellow…

When life strums, to strike a broken chord,
The world stabbing me, with many a sword,
When I am drowning, with only doubts to swallow,
You are my cheerleader, You are my Yellow…

My life, like the skies, may turn cloudy or grey,
Happiness and sadness, may make my boat sway,
I may feel rocky, or rock to the lovely beats of tango,
You bring me up, You are my Yellow…

I thank my lucky stars, for bringing you into my mime,
You brighten my days,  and broaden my mind,
You always make time for patients, family and friends,
You are my inspiration, You are my Yellow…
