[A tribute to William Wordsworth and his poem Daffodils]
Oh look yonder, over vales and about,
Earths’ canvas, of fluttering, colorful tulips;
Pushing the harsh, cold winter out,
“I am here!”, announces the lovely spring!
Clouds glorious white, not pensive grey or gloomy,
The winds danced around, firm and strong;
The weather bright, warm and sunny,
On a golden day like this, nothing can go wrong!
A plethora of colors, I know not where to begin,
The jocund laughter around, seemed to have no end;
People out to enjoy this sight, with their loving kin,
While some chose this time, to be with their beloved friends!
I am a hopeless romantic, and a lonely dreamer,
Who lives alone, in her quixotic world of clouds;
I would gladly exchange my solitude, and demeanor,
If I were to land my feet, among these sprightly tulip crowds!
A few hundred photos, trying to capture their rebellious beauty,
Yet all fall short, to convey the happy, pleasurable feeling perfectly;
These are the moments, etched forever in my memory,
Captured in my minds eye, to be mine for eternity!
