You wanted a simple birthday,
So that’s what you got to explore;
After-all on your special day,
Even your inane wishes can soar!
I wrote a poem for you,
Many many years ago;
So here is something, brand new,
To help you, succeed and grow!
You have, a lot of potential,
If you choose, to open your mind;
Surround yourself, with friends real,
As candid as you can find!
They will help discover, the true you,
Enabling you, to reach your full potential;
Friends you can lean on, to help you through,
All else, is but superficial!
I would like to end this verse, wishing you the best,
Sending positive thoughts, towards your success;
While as a man and wife, we butchered the test,
Hope in your future, you find the ever elusive happiness!
