Poem # 173 Sun and Clouds…

The sun was shining, Oh! so bright;
Quelling the doubts, of the dark night;
Making me smile, with all my might,
I only need to spread my wings, to take flight!

The day started, with notes of sunshine and smiles,
I knew I was safe, protected from all viles;
Naive was I, while being surrounded by guile’s,
Trusting blind, I gave in to everyone’s lies!

Then suddenly, just as the sun shone bright,
Grey clouds moved below, hiding the bright star from sight;
The world turned gloomy and dark, much to my plight,
No remote chance, for even a random ray of light!

Like the world, without the sun shining bright,
In the darkness, of my clouded mind;
My world spins gloomy, not a hope in sight,
I was cuffed to sadness, left without any light!

A slight glimmer, formed like a glowing crown,
Surrounding the dour, dark, broody clouds;
There appeared, a silver lining all around,
Darkness shunned, the world was wowed.

Like the silver lining, around the cloud,
Hope grew in my mind, of a world endowed;
A life where my future, dazzled and shone,
A placed filled with love, life’s hopes restored.
