A land, of cultures many,
Where languages spoken, in each state vary;
Each house-hold, has its unique traditions,
Versatile, it is as a nation!
Many religions, casts and creed,
We transcend them, when we see someone in need;
Always ready, with a helping hand,
Such is the culture, of my land!
With 29 states, that stand united,
And 22 official languages, officially cited;
We have many more, as a distinct spoken tongue,
Yet we are held together, in patriotic love as one!
Like any large family, in our country,
We value kindness, traditions and living free;
Unity in Diversity, is the strength of our nation,
India is a feeling of pride, passed on from generation to generation!
