Poem#131 Karma’s Menu

Tired of your treating me, as an afterthought,
I believe that our journey together, is at its end;
Tried so hard, to carve my rightful place in your heart,
I need now, to focus on mine, that needs to mend.

There is no picking up, from where we left off,

Together as a couple, I see no future in store;

Time to rid the three knots, that turned into handcuffs,

Ready to move on, to the new beginning I deserve.

Wish I could send you, kind thoughts as we part,

The best of everything, that life has to offer;

However, if I need to remain true to my heart,

I want you to know how, for over a dozen years I suffered.

I will do you a favor, hang on to my conscience fair,

Send you nothing, in view of wishes, when we part;

Let life offer you, what you are truly destined for,

For Karma’s menu, is never served a la carte.
