Poem #130 I wish I had……

I wish I had, my own little time machine,
To take me back in time;
To relive, life’s nostalgic scenes,
To cherish, the moments that have been.

I wish I had, my own little time machine,
To savor each feeling so fine;
Memories, I treasure in my mind as serene,
Yearn, for those golden days of mine.

I wish I had, my own little time machine,
To make many a different choice;
Turn my life, into what could have been,
Without its many ugly scars.

I wish I had, my own little time machine,
To bring back, the people I have lost;
Good people, who were never mean,
Only kindness, in their benevolent hearts.

I wish I had, my own little time machine,
To bring back those days of yore;
When life was simple, without false sheen,
Easy laughter and happiness galore.

I wish I had, my own little time machine,
Though I won’t let go, all of my current;
It could never be, a fair trade off,
While I have a foot, in both past and present!
