Poem #126 I am just a simple girl……

 

I am just a simple girl,
What you see, is what you get;

While I choose to focus, on what’s ahead, 

A million thoughts running through my head.

I am just a simple girl,

Great dreams of love, family and career;

A tight circle, of people who I deem near,

A few friends to hold on-to, as close and dear.

I am just a simple girl,

The key to my heart, lays open bare;

A little bit of love and a few acts of care,

You got me wrapped, in a love lorn stare.

I am just a simple girl,

Dont need jewels, of diamond or pearl;

You promised me, the stars and all that I deserved,

Your heart, your thoughts and your whole world.

I am just a simple girl,

Trapped now, without an escape for miles;

My sheltered dreams, shredded by your viles,

Damned forever, are all my heartfelt smiles.

I am just a simple girl, 

With no hidden plan, and no evil side;

The only thing I now choose, to mask and hide,

Are a zillion tears, behind my happy smile.
