Poem #123 Superheroes in Disguise

You invested your time, when others would have shown us the door,
You gave us much needed guidance, to find our paths at cross roads;
You taught us to be humble, happy, kind and gentle,
You groomed us to learn from our failures, and to never settle.

You wore the hat of a friend, to help our daily troubles mend,
You easily turned into a mentor, finding our hidden talents;
You were always around, when we needed someone’s support,
Patient when we played truant, you were a great sport.

You taught us words, to structure sentences,
An art that fails us today, despite our many successes…
Thanks seems inadequate and there is not a valued enough prize,
Dearest Teachers You Are The Real SuperHeroes In Disguise!
