Tall trees, shrubs and vines, a plethora of green;
Calling me softly, to uncover the power of will,
They stop soil erosion and floods, yet steadfast, they stand still.
Oh! the river beckons to me,
Swift and flexible, forging their own path without apology;
Calling me softly, to uncover the riddle of their turns and twists,
Wiggle my own way, out of life’s obstacles and trysts.
Oh! the ocean beckons to me,
Waves booming display, the tempers of the sea;
Calling me softly, to uncover secrets in their depths,
Life lessons on ups and downs, in their flows and ebbs.
Oh! the clouds beckon to me,
You can see but not touch, as they gently float free;
Calling me softly, to uncover the intrigue of true libre,
A life with no restrictions, not a thing, to fear.
Oh! the rains beckon to me,
Tears from the sky, abundance of water for free;
Calling me softly, to uncover the meaning of altruistic,
Laudable selfless service, is what’s truly heroic.
Oh! the snow beckons to me,
Pure and white, so soft and feathery;
Calling me softly, to uncover the hidden paths that lay below,
Actual worth of a person, is what remains when you strip off the superficial glow.
Oh! The moon beckons to me,
Keeps growth constant, as it continues to wax and wane;
Calling me softly, to uncover the mystique of the dark night,
If you want to dispel your gloom, all you need is hope, and the reflection of light.
Oh! the sunset beckons to me,
Hues lighting the sky for all to see;
Calling me softly, to uncover their great mysteries,
Magic of the stars, black holes and the vast galaxies.
Oh! the sunrise beckons to me,
A bright new day, filled with glee;
Calling me softly, to uncover mythos of time,
To be content within myself, and find peace sublime.
