Poem #93 The wise one said......

The heaviest burden we carry, are the thoughts in our head,
Yet that’s the weight we cling to, refraining to unload;
Hold not, to the events of your past, the wise one said,
Words of wisdom, worth more, than a pot of gold.

We go through many trials, many thorns, we tread,
In our heroic quest, to find glorious truths;
Treat them as stepping stones, the wise one said,
Cracking our invisible, ceilings and roofs.

We trip and fall down, each time we rise ahead,
Sometimes we think, we are in a great terrible mix-up;
The best about, the worst things happening to you, the wise one said,
Is that, from here there’s no place to go, but up.

Success or failure, don’t let it get to your head,
One day you soar up, while another you take a downward dive;
You may be gone but your deeds live on, the wise one said,
Focus to make this world, a better place to live.
