Poem #92 Ask, if I may.....

Life, if anything, is hard work, through an obstacle course,
Filled with challenges, many without a recourse;
Nothing worth having in this world, comes easy,
Ask, if I may, shouldn’t we instead, try to make our lives less crazy?

Dream, if anything, is a goal, to be all that we currently aren’t,
A hope to acquire the things, we don’t yet have, but want;
We make it our mission, to spend years satisfying our greed,
Ask, if I may, shouldn’t we instead, be chasing only our needs?

Love, if anything, is a condition-free emotion,
A feeling of unnatural high, no negatives in the horizon;
We insanely welcome, the shackles, that binds us as a team,
Ask, if I may, shouldn’t we instead, run untethered, wild and free?

Death, if anything is viewed as the end, the harsh reality,
Of all the unknowns, the ultimate truth is our mortality;
We plan our future, in fear that our present may end short and swift,
Ask, if I may, shouldn’t we instead, live a life, so that each day is our best?
