Poem # 71 Judge not....

Who are we to judge anyone!
Live their life, and you will know it's no fun;
Everyone faces many a challenge and strife,
Wear their shoe and try to walk the mile.

As we grow, we learn from the people we are around,
Good behaviors and acts, that they deem as sound;
To this we add our own inhibitions, what we think is wrong or right,
And proceed to evaluate and judge, those who don’t fall in line.

Brutal we are, when we weigh on someone's attire,
Frugal we are, when we judge anothers character;
Hypocrites we are, when we reflect on their actions and reactions,
Inconsiderate we are, when we evaluate their emotions.

We refuse to see, all the hard work and efforts filled with stress,
And proceed to critique, another’s path to success;
We reject and are blind, to other people's point of view,
And storm to battle, for what in our minds, we believe is true.

We all live in glass houses, filled with multiple cracks,
Yet readily throw stones at others, and ignore their facts;
Are we sure there are no specks, in what the mirror reflects,
What makes us think, we have the right to decide what's correct!

It's time to shed these meaningless beliefs and assumptions,
And start on the journey filled with  redemption;
Give up all thats pointless, choose the road that's true,
The path of kindness and acceptance, no matter what the hue.
