Poem #268 Final Destination

Do you see the game that you keep playing?
Treating me like the goal you have always been chasing,
Continuing to slowly drag me in perpetual circles,
Returning each time to repeat the same archaic cycle!
Initially you relentlessly woo me without rest,
Then, when I am all in, you feign nonchalance at best;
This chase and run behavior of yours, has grown old,
I am tired of this warmth from you, that always turns harsh cold!
I am in love with you, more than you will ever know,
Unconditional it is, deep yet, each day continues to grow;
I need your support, care, and love, to make me feel whole,
A slight glance from you, and I am ready to give you my soul!
It’s sad that you did not realize, how I love the people I hold dear,
When you became close to me, you chose to react from a place of fear;
After many a chance, I gave up, and decided to draw the line,
Choose to part, since you no longer wanted to be mine!
You acted as though I were a choice, a distraction from your daily mundane,
While in-fact I am that lesson you fail to learn over many a lifetime;
You treat me as if, I were your three month summer recreation, a vacation,
While I patiently wait for you to realize, that I am your final destination!
