Poem #261 Forever Mine

This story of us, is kinda getting old,
You come to me with vigor, then suddenly turn cold;
I wish you were stronger, and that you were bold
I wish you cared more, and your heart wasn’t so cold!

You duct-taped into “yes”es, all of my no’s
You persisted until, I couldn’t say no anymore;
I wish you had stayed, hadn’t walked out the door,
I wish you were consistent, like the seasons four!

Everyone keeps telling me, I need to face my facts,
It’s hard to not judge, your callous disappearing act;
I wish I knew how, to bring us back with tact,
I wish you had remained, true to our pact!

Buried deep down inside, your memories hard to find,
I try hard to lock you, in the depths of my mind..
I wish the universe for once, had decided to be kind,
I wish we are forever, and you forever mine!
