Another year, around the sun,
One more, glorious day goes by;
Yet again, the day ceases to be fun,
No loving wishes, from you today!
It’s three years, since you have been gone,
I miss you, on all my noteworthy events;
Daily life, seems to simply go on,
I relive your loss, at all my happy moments!
Nostalgia creeps in, as I revisit old photos,
Childhood days with you, etched in my mind;
Your voice and laugh, is what I miss the most,
In everything I do, you I try to find.
Losing someone you love, is so hard to bear,
I wish we had spent, more quality time;
Lost many a moment, in my world’s despair,
Loving memories, that could have lasted a lifetime!
Then I think, what’s the point of regretting,
Time lost is lost, for you will never return;
Thoughts, tough to digest and upsetting,
Adding more fuel to my cheeks, as the tears burn!
I miss you so much, it’s hard to define,
You are the reason, I survived this brutal world;
Boosting my confidence, when I needed it most,
Lauding my successes, even before they unfurled!
I hope you found, the happiness you deserved,
This world was not, for the likes of you;
You always chose, the path most absurd,
Showing me, it’s ok to be quirky in the worlds view!
