Here I am, looking back,
Finishing yet another year, around the sun;
Life, needs a swift comeback,
The year past held, the worst trials yet, most fun!
April and May,
Work took most of my time, and pretty much my all;
Was thankful, for colleagues support without sway,
They helped me brace, through many a pitfall!
June and July,
The quick trip to Aruba, was the best;
Time, with people I love and rely,
Much needed, relaxation and rest!
August, September and October,
Best months in years yet, my ironic destiny denies;
Days into nights, sparked my dying embers,
Was finally happy, sans overthinking my fears!
Nov and December,
The highlights few, crushing pain hard to forget;
These months brought me, unconsolable tears,
As my year 2022 ended, deep in regrets!
Jan and February,
With new year, and it’s promises afresh;
Travel, family and old friends, helped stave off my worries,
Igniting my ray of hope, providing much needed refresh!
March and April,
The days flew by, thankfully fast;
Cherry blossoms, Tulips, friends and pets, were my thrills,
Reclaiming some lost peace, through meditation and long walks!
Back to that special day, just past April’s end,
When the nights moon is full, bright shines Spica my ruling star;
Thankful to the universe, for the bountiful blessings it sends,
Wistfully wishing upon moon and the stars, for what I yearn and deserve!
