Poem # 184 I deserve better!

[A reflection on my marriage]

You abhor me, yet with me you stay,
Is it coz you care, what others say?

When you can move on, sans an apology,

Why subject me, to such animosity?

Your derogatory words, echo in my ear,

Living in a constant state, of flight and fear;

I am totally spent, I need a fresh start,

I am all alone, and feel so lost!

Your lack of care and love, is still fine,

You broke my confidence, crossing the line;

Am not seeking, your help or empathy,

Only searching, for peace and serenity!

Stop judging me, for my failures,

Making my life, a miserable hell;

Don’t abuse me, to feel superior,

I am human and I deserve better!
