Poem #162 To Me…

 

To the empath in me,
No amount of explanation, can legitimize excuses,

To the guileless in me,

No amount of love, can fix manipulators,

To the righteous in me,

No amount of self-judgement, can change the past,

To the realist in me,

No amount of planning, can change the destined result,

To the over thinker in me,

No amount of anxiety, can change my future,

To the survivor in me,

Any amount of gratitude, can change my present!
