Poem # 151 Coffee, Tea or Me…??

I am not everyone's cuppa tea,
I am definitely not your daily coffee;
I am a unique acquired taste,
No wonder I feel misplaced!

My heart is naïve, open and warm,
Ready to embrace the next song;
No one stays along my stride,
Life, easily takes me for a ride!

As I keep my head low,
Laying on my best efforts to grow;
I am easily lost and addicted,
To love and care unpredicted.

I wish my life was not my minds' muse,
For overthinking chaos and abuse;
I need to build great, strong walls,
And protect my heart, from rising squalls.

As complex as my life is,
Simplicity is my only wish;
Oh! why am I a trouble magnet,
Am tired of this life of regrets.

I feel so spent, am falling apart,
I could really use a refresh or a restart;
Old friends, whom I can lean on,
And once again, hear my happy song...

I am not everyone's cuppa tea,
I am definitely not your daily coffee;
I am a unique acquired taste,
No wonder I feel misplaced!
