Some decisions work out and sometimes they don’t,
Not always we end up happy, having all the things that we want;
When things are a triumph, we naturally tend to flaunt,
While failures we try and hide, fearing worlds taunt.
We were all busy, living in our own world,
Tackling whatever our way, life had hurled;
New concept, called social distance has now unfurled,
Do follow lockdown & stay home, all are urged.
Suddenly as if to realign, and straighten our sights,
Covid’s threat, has focused our attention on what’s right,
We learn to quit, our petty ego filled fights,
And time with our loved ones, we start to hold on tight.
While some of us realize, we are surrounded by love,
There are others who realize, it’s time to move on;
It’s our life, our choice, needs no one else to approve,
Whatever we decide, we need to reflect before we conclude.
No matter what happens, one needs to do right by themself,
When we face trouble, no one else is gonna stay & help;
Hold off on decisions, we are forced to wait for the pandemic to quell,
No matter how desperate we are, for relief from our current hell.
What the future holds, nobody can claim to know,
Change is the only constant, come rain or snow;
While it may be tempting, to look at present and mope,
Think positive, that in future, you will find your Ray of Hope.
