Poem #32 Facade

You have lead us through life’s maze
Choosing wrong at every turn
And wonder why, today we are here;
Before setting us ablaze
I wish, you had paused to think, we would burn
And rightly held back, in the fear.

You serve me your angry glare
While coolly smiling for all to see
What happened to the values that made you "You"
You do not seem to care
That I despise the person you have grown to be
Hurt brimming in my heart that once held  love true.

You blame me for your strife
And smear me with untrue “laurels”
To survive, I need to discern;
You go on with your life
Acting as though everything is normal
That’s an art I am yet to learn.
